All about FaceBook Marketing with retargeting

If you’ve followed the WordStream blog since its inception in 2009 (thank you for your patronage) you know we’ve written a metric ton of Facebook content: Facebook ad benchmarks. How to lower your Facebook ad costs. Using Facebook ads to drive webinar registrations. Common Facebook ad myths, debunked. Using Facebook ads to advertise your Facebook ads on Facebook. Ok, not that one. Point is, there’s a lot to comb through if you’re shooting for Facebook ad mastery.
On your smartphone, open up the Facebook app. Go to your Page and click on “Publish” as if you were going to write a new post, then select the “Live Video” option. Before you enter any information, go ahead and check the privacy settings. Under the description, you’ll see a choice to broadcast to the public, just your friends, or only yourself. If you’re testing out Facebook Live for the first time, we suggest using “only me” to ensure your live stream doesn’t show up on your News Feed.
When Instant Articles were first released, they were only available to a few select publishers. Now, any publisher can use them if they sign up at https://instantarticles.fb.com/. Facebook will walk you through submitting your first sample article and requesting approval from the Instant Articles team. Once you’re approved, you’ll be able to auto-publish in the new format. Hi Anika, unfortunately you need to use a personal profile to message people or groups on Facebook. You could create a profile though as your business but the issue would be that people may use this to connect with you instead of your professional page! You can however definitely create an event via your business page and invite people to that, with no reference to your personal Facebook profile. Hope that helps! Understanding social media platforms
My experience is that Group posts don’t go to your newsfeed. Instead, you get a ‘notification’ that someone has posted in the group. This can be both good and bad – it’s good because people definitely won’t miss it, no matter how long after you post the content they log onto facebook. HOWEVER, sometimes when there is too much posting going on it just gets so annoying a lot of people choose to change their notification settings so that they don’t receive these anymore. As the posts aren’t fed to your Facebook newsfeed, you effectively forget about the group forever because there is nothing prompting you to visit.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Great Conversion Rate Optimization Fairy Tale. Once upon a time, a self-professed marketing guru told you it's really important that you optimize your site. They shared one example where the author changed the button color, or the font spacing, or the image. Lo and behold, the advertiser's conversion rate jumped by 2-7%. Facebook can follow people’s activity between Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network, so your business can more accurately give credit to ads across platforms. With the data-driven attribution model, Facebook assigns fractional credit to the ads based on a statistical model, which lets you better understand the incremental value of each ad on our platforms.
Some kinds of conversion tracking don’t require a tag. For example, to track phone calls from call extensions or call-only ads, you use a Google forwarding number to track when the call came from one of your ads, and to track details like call duration, call start and end time, and caller area code. Also, app downloads and in-app purchases from Google Play, and local actions will automatically be recorded as conversions, and no tracking code is needed. 🛑Don't Start a SMMA or Facebook Ads Agency Before You Watch This

What exactly is the Facebook Pixel? Well, way back in the day (2015) advertisers had to install multiple pixel codes on their website to track different conversion metrics. Each new landing page for each new promotion required a new pixel—a sustainable practice in small doses, but pretty cumbersome the bigger and more complex your ad strategy got. Enter Facebook Pixel. This is tad bit off of topic.. but hoping you can help. We know now that we want a group… but it’s the privacy setting that’s confusing. FB has a table that tells you about the security, however the last entry reads “who can see stories about the group on FB (like in news feeds and search” For closed it says “anyone” and for secret is says “only members”. What are “stories about the group”. This statement is contradictory to the rest of the table. We want a group that people can find, but that no one but members can see the contents of, including photos posted, posts, etc. Are these considered “stories”? I took an incredible writing class last year, and once it’s over, all the instructor’s students are invited into her secret Facebook group upon completion. Here, the instructor offers the group exclusive job leads and answers questions as her past students have them. This group alone is just as valuable as the class and worth taking the course for, to be honest. 11 Google Display Ads Strategies For 2019
Allows group admins to report issues or ask questions directly to Facebook itself. Their goal is to reply within a single business day, and as anyone who has every asked Facebook a question knows, this is huge. I wouldn’t be surprised if they realized this was a necessity with subscription groups being tested (we talk more about that in the monetization section), but either way, it’s a great feature to have. I have recently gotten into a lot of FB groups about local barters, yard sales, online sales, etc. I found so many locally that I thought it would be useful to me and to others to maintain a public list of all of this type of FB groups in my area. It’s also useful because the more people know about groups, the more may participate, and the more things I may be able to buy (or have more people to sell stuff to via those groups). But I don’t know whether to have a GROUP or a PAGE. I set up both — see links at the end of this comment. GOALS: I don’t need a lot of dialog with the page’s followers, but I do want people to be able to send me info when there’s a new group to add to my list, and I do want my page’s posts to show up in their news feeds and/or their notifications (not sure which is better for me). Do you have any thoughts on using a group vs. a page for my purposes? Or is this just a dumb idea? I want to have either a page or a group — but I set up both and plan to delete one of them. Fb has bugged up membership groups. All what you say here is my experience too. Fb has become a mish mash of hyped up technology which as you say is inconsistent from day to day. I have put my comment which has to be moderated. Fb had become farcicle. Ridiculous. Why the heck do we need this page an epistlye of ribbish, to explain to everyone HOW to use fb. WHY has it become necessary???? Laughable.

Facebook lookalike audiences exist in the space between layered (behavior, interest, and demographic) targeting and remarketing (utilizing Custom Audiences). Creating lookalikes is the practice of leveraging the information you’d use to create Custom Audiences to instead create audiences that have similar characteristics, but represent a new segment of potential customers. These prospects haven’t yet interacted with your brand. But they’re similar to those who have.
A local bakery is using the Facebook Pixel to track user behavior on their website. They find that the majority of users go to one of three pages from their homepage: their menu, catering services, or wedding cakes. Their goal is to increase their sale of custom wedding cakes, so they create Facebook ads focused on their custom cakes targeted to users who spent at least two minutes on their wedding cakes webpage, rather than showing a generic bakery ad.
On that note, make sure the content you post to Facebook is highly shareable. It’s the best way to expand your organic reach. According to a study by the New York Times Customer Insight and Advertising Groups, “marketers should be focused on providing content that enhances consumers’ relationships with one another.” In other words, create valuable and entertaining content that followers will be happy to share with their connections.
The Facebook pixel is a small snippet of code that you, your website engineer or a Facebook Marketing Partner can paste in your code. It tracks the people and the types of actions they take when they engage with your brand, including any of your Facebook ads they saw before going to your website, the pages of your site they visit and the items they add to their carts.
I run a business page for my place of employment, and we recently created a group for a select group. This is not for business purposes and is strictly for networking and connecting, so we changed the privacy setting to a secret group. Although people can’t see the group, we have let them know they can contact me if they want to be added to the group. However, I am not sure where to go from here. Under the “Invite” tab, it says “Invite people who like your Page, [page name], to join this group.” It then gives me a short list of recommended people, but nowhere to type in names or email addresses. What can I do to add people outside of the ones that are recommended to me? How to Remove Free Mode Bar from Facebook App in Android

Hi Cara, Is it possible to message a “group” admin or a group as a whole without using a personal account? I am trying to reach out to professional “groups” through work, but do not want to do so through my personal page – I would like to use my business “page” or invite groups to an “event” created through the business page if possible. Can this be done? Thank you, Anika Which social media platforms to be on in 2019?
