All about FaceBook Marketing with retargeting

Advertisers can be savvy about using retargeting ads to generate repeat sales by advertising products similar to those that a customer has already purchased. Retargeting serves as a great way to cost-effectively use reminder advertising. Typically, previous customers are more likely to buy from you than someone who has never heard of you, so creating audiences of previous customers is a great way to generate ongoing sales. Here you can see their new landing page iteration, which turned out to be an exponentially better performer. They've changed the flow so that anyone can download and install the file. At the last step, the user is asked to register the software. At this point, they've already spent 10 or 15 minutes with the software and are far more likely to invest the time in completing the information form.
In my Group where the tabs are that say About, Discussion, Members, Events, etc. theres a tab titled “Recommendations” which has a list of group recommendations where members have posted businesses in comments as recommendations and they end up in that section. I did not add this section to the page and a lot of the businesses recommended there are not recommendations I would approve for the group.

I co-own a Miami Dolphins Fan group that has an internet radio show, a twitter account and eventually will be adding a website. We currently have both a FB Group and an FB page, and cross=post most content to both. Do you think having both is a good idea or not? And why or why not? Also, if keeping both, would you continually cross-post everything? Thanks for your advice. How to add topics to Facebook group 2018

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Great Conversion Rate Optimization Fairy Tale. Once upon a time, a self-professed marketing guru told you it's really important that you optimize your site. They shared one example where the author changed the button color, or the font spacing, or the image. Lo and behold, the advertiser's conversion rate jumped by 2-7%. How Long Should You Run Your Facebook Ad?

This is happening to my Star Trek group. We can no longer add members, only invite them. I would like to know why it has changed. We have 14.3 K members but we can hardly grow anymore like we used to. It’s very infuriating and I’m thinking about archiving because it has kind of lost its appeal. It feels like we are out in a wasteland of sorts. We never get join requests, whereas we used to get a lot.

For example, let's say that you send visitors who subscribe to your mailing list to a thank you page. You could set up a custom conversion that tracks website visitors who have viewed any page that has /thank-you in its URL. Assuming your thank you page is the only page with /thank-you in its URL, and you've installed the pixel on that page, anyone who views it will be tracked using that custom conversion.

If things start to get heated within your group, you can use Facebook’s group administrator tools to temporarily black a member from posting or commenting, or permanently remove members who have violated your group’s rules. If one post in particular seems to be inspiring inappropriate comments, you can turn off commenting for that post, or delete it. If you have to remove a member, you can also choose to delete all of their past posts. How Your Brand Can Dominate Instagram
Audience Insights is a tool which allows you to pull from self-reported Facebook data (information given by Facebook users when they fill in their profiles) and third-party data (information like household income, purchasing behavior, etc. pulled from external partners) to create new audiences. Where specifically does this data come from? Facebook gives you three options: glean insights from everyone on Facebook, from people connected to your Page, or from an existing Custom Audience. #SPS19 Preview: How Millennial Buyers Will Impact Your 2020 Marketing Plan
You can track audience engagement with content on your Facebook Page through Facebook Insights. This allows you to measure Likes, reach (how many people saw your posts), and engagement (how many people liked, clicked, shared, or commented). Facebook scores your ad after is has been served more than 500 times. Still, the metric isn’t gauged on actual engagement—it’s gauged on the what Facebook predicts will be your ad’s engagement based on campaign objective and audience granularity. Some ways to raise your relevance score: hyper-specific targeting, testing, and just flat out making great ads. Allen Finn has the scoop on all these methods and more in his Facebook Relevance Score: 4 Key Facts to Know.

Facebook can follow people’s activity between Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network, so your business can more accurately give credit to ads across platforms. With the data-driven attribution model, Facebook assigns fractional credit to the ads based on a statistical model, which lets you better understand the incremental value of each ad on our platforms.

Technology companies argue that such tracking allows them to deliver much more targeted, relevant advertising across the internet. Paul Ohm from the Center of Privacy and Technology at Georgetown law school told Propublica that the fact that Google kept personally identifiable information and DoubleClick data separate was “a really significant last stand”.
Facebook retargeting not only shows you your warm leads, but also your hot leads. These are people who have started the purchasing process but did not finish it. Things such as wish list items or abandoned carts indict that the user had intent to purchase. Advertisers can use this information to display ads to those users of the exact products they were interested in, leading them to remember their initial interest and go forth with completing their purchase.
Google Analytics is an extremely powerful analytics tool for Facebook advertising. Advertisers can gain a lot more information from Google Analytics than just a user’s location, gender, interests, and device types. Google Analytics is a reliable way to track conversions, which show you the entire path a user took to convert. This level of information can then be used to create custom audiences with targeted ads, increasing your ROI and conversions.
I run a group and the essence of it has been totally lost. I and many others Im sure, have the same problem you describe. Its Fb or their nutty algorhthm that “administers” your group now. Deciding who, how and when. I am fuming. The dynamics of the group has been destroyed. My posts disappear into thin air. Havent a clue who sees them but have been carrying out a little research and I only have fb to thank for their wretched ridiculous high tech hype for destroying the hard work of administrators and time spent keeping their members up to date. If your members dont react they dont get im afraid…and they may miss out considerably and just give up being a member. High profile groups eg 2000 members or more dont feel it so hard. Probably dont notice. Very sad. Im talking about the average 100-200 members

For example, through Google Analytics, a restaurant discovered that a large percent of users who clicked on their lunch ad ended up using their online reservation system to make dinner reservations. They had not expected to get dinner reservations from those searching for lunch spots, but, given this, they designed better website flows between web pages, leading to more reservations, and they also started offering lunch reservations.

Hi Cara, Do you know of any way to contact or join a “group” through either another “group” or through a “page”? I am wondering if it is possible to contact professional groups through Facebook, but because I would be acting in a professional context I would not want it linked to my personal Facebook page. Do you know of any Facebook “entity” – page, group, etc. – that could join or contact a group without revealing my personal account? Thank you, Anika Shopify Tutorial for Beginners: Pricing Plans Explained (2017)
A wonderfully written and detailed comparison of facebook pages vs facebook groups. Thank you. =) I have been using the page feature, though I have been wondering if it may also be a good idea to add a group to the mix for certain features and updates and members who wish to participate and be notified. This may not increase following by a lot quickly, but it certainly couldn’t hurt. As long as you don’t spam it and keep it interesting it could at least help with your loyal and return followers. Group 3: People who make it all the way through the checkout process to your “thank you” page. The Facebook pixel on your “thank you” page will add its visitors to another list, which you can exclude from your other targeting groups to ensure you’re not reaching people with Facebook ads for an offer they’ve already claimed. You can also create an entirely new campaign to cross-sell them on another course or add-on, or even use this group to create a lookalike audience of your ideal customer to find more people likely to purchase your product or service.

You know that booze cruise offer that follows you around the web? How about that pair of stylish shoes you added to your cart but forgot to purchase? That’s remarketing. Remarketing is so effective because it allows you to target users based on an action they’ve already taken on your website or social accounts. Thus, you have the advantage of knowing how they’ve already interacted with your brand, and in what part of the funnel they reside.
I’m in a group for women writers that lists freelance jobs, and one thing I love about it is that the moderators and other members will jump to tag each other so that the right candidate finds that job. Similarly, I’ve seen plenty of groups where members tag each other for expertise and opinions, even if it’s just a discussion. This is extremely valuable, and when you tag members, it shows that you remember them and you value their opinion. It’s an excellent way to get them engaging more often. Just don’t get spammy with it.

Simply put, don’t ask people to give you information you won’t be using anyway. For example, if you sell apparel online, you probably don’t need to know the person’s job title or relationship status. Keep your form simple to attract more subscribers, or add extra fields if you’re okay with fewer email subscribers but more qualified leads with higher interest. I have recently gotten into a lot of FB groups about local barters, yard sales, online sales, etc. I found so many locally that I thought it would be useful to me and to others to maintain a public list of all of this type of FB groups in my area. It’s also useful because the more people know about groups, the more may participate, and the more things I may be able to buy (or have more people to sell stuff to via those groups). But I don’t know whether to have a GROUP or a PAGE. I set up both — see links at the end of this comment. GOALS: I don’t need a lot of dialog with the page’s followers, but I do want people to be able to send me info when there’s a new group to add to my list, and I do want my page’s posts to show up in their news feeds and/or their notifications (not sure which is better for me). Do you have any thoughts on using a group vs. a page for my purposes? Or is this just a dumb idea? I want to have either a page or a group — but I set up both and plan to delete one of them. When you create your first advertisement, Facebook offers two choices of editors: the Ad Manager and the Power Editor. The Ad Manager is a great choice for most companies, while the Power Editor was created for larger advertisers who need precise control over a variety of campaigns. For these instructions, we’ll use the Ad Manager. To find the Ads Manager from Facebook, go to your homepage and find "Ads Manager" from the left-hand menu.
When Instant Articles were first released, they were only available to a few select publishers. Now, any publisher can use them if they sign up at https://instantarticles.fb.com/. Facebook will walk you through submitting your first sample article and requesting approval from the Instant Articles team. Once you’re approved, you’ll be able to auto-publish in the new format.
I did not see anything about troubleshooting Facebook on this page. I administer two groups and cannot see either one. I have the same problem trying to load other groups that I have joined. Facebook retargeting campaigns can be used by nearly every Facebook advertiser with a Java-enabled website with steady traffic, but are best suited for online-based businesses, such as ecommerce. This is because online businesses typically have a high volume of site visitors, giving the advertiser a lot of insightful information from the Facebook Pixel. By creating a Group, the team is given a private forum to share ideas on the project and post updates, just like with a Page. Still, all information is shared only with those within the Group once it's made closed. Others will still be able to see that the Group exists and who are members, but they will not be able to see any posts or information within the closed Group unless they are invited. For example, a ski and bike company should group users by the main product types the business offers, such as skiers, snowboarders, mountain bikers, and road cyclists. A customer who previously purchased a road bike would be a good candidate for a promotion on new clipless road bike pedals, whereas the customer who rented a mountain bike won’t likely be interested in road biking gear.

The most efficient way to create a Facebook 360 video is to use a 360-degree camera such as an ALLie or RICOH THETA. The THETA, for example, has two lens that together capture the 360-degree look. Since there’s no viewfinder, you’ll need to use the corresponding mobile app to set the shot and a tripod to keep the camera steady. The app then allows you to share directly to Facebook. But with such a massive and diverse collection of users, Facebook offers a unique opportunity for marketers to drive awareness for their brands — an opportunity that could also drive more leads for your business than any other paid channel. Below, we’ll walk through the steps to get started with Facebook advertising, making sure you’re producing the right ad at the right time.
Just like no one wants to be first to arrive at a party, no one want to be the first person to join a Facebook group. Invite some colleagues, employees, or friends to get the ball rolling. You may also want to reach out to some of the more active participants on your Facebook Page and let them know you’re creating a group you’d love them to be a part of.

Every prospective buyer visits your stage with varying levels of intent. Some users may just be researching whether your product or service fits their needs while others have decided they want a product or service you offer and are shopping around for the best quality or price. Understanding where a user is in the buyer sales funnel gives advertisers the opportunity to design ads that speak to their potential customers.
Hi Anika, unfortunately you need to use a personal profile to message people or groups on Facebook. You could create a profile though as your business but the issue would be that people may use this to connect with you instead of your professional page! You can however definitely create an event via your business page and invite people to that, with no reference to your personal Facebook profile. Hope that helps! Understanding social media platforms
What exactly is the Facebook Pixel? Well, way back in the day (2015) advertisers had to install multiple pixel codes on their website to track different conversion metrics. Each new landing page for each new promotion required a new pixel—a sustainable practice in small doses, but pretty cumbersome the bigger and more complex your ad strategy got. Enter Facebook Pixel. When someone visits your website and takes an action (for example, buying something), the Facebook pixel is triggered and reports this action. This way, you'll know when a customer took an action after seeing your Facebook ad. You'll also be able to reach this customer again by using a custom audience. When more and more conversions happen on your website, Facebook gets better at delivering your ads to people who are more likely to take certain actions. This is called conversion optimization. 👀 Facebook Ads in 2019 | From Facebook Ads Beginner to EXPERT in One Video!
