All about FaceBook Marketing with retargeting

If you're an admin of a group, you can delete or archive it. Groups are deleted when they have no members. Deleting a group is a permanent action that cannot be reversed. When a group is archived, it won't appear in search results to non-members, and no new members can join the group. Learn more about the differences between deleting and archiving a group.
How much should you pay for Facebook advertising? Is Facebook’s automatic or manual bidding better? How to set up your ad budgets in the Ads Manager? We’re going to answer all these questions in this chapter. Did we mention that you’ll also learn about other technical aspects such as ad delivery optimization? – If you want to get great Facebook campaign results, you’ll need to know how to use it.
Advertisers can be savvy about using retargeting ads to generate repeat sales by advertising products similar to those that a customer has already purchased. Retargeting serves as a great way to cost-effectively use reminder advertising. Typically, previous customers are more likely to buy from you than someone who has never heard of you, so creating audiences of previous customers is a great way to generate ongoing sales.
What stands true, though, is that after a week of retargeting, you may want to stop focusing on immediate purchases and aim for longer-term relationships with your website’s visitors. That is, you should try to keep in touch with your potential customers until they’re ready to convert instead of trying to convince them to convert and then giving up when they don’t. If you have access to your website's code, you can add the Facebook pixel yourself. Simply place the Facebook pixel base code (what you see when you create your pixel) on all pages of your website. Then add standard events to the pixel code on the special pages of your website, such as your add-to-cart page or your purchase page. The current marketing funnel accepts anyone, assessing them for profitability and rejecting them if they’re deemed unfit. As John Hall writes in Forbes: “Too many companies see customers as gatekeepers to wallets; meanwhile, customers feel ignored at best -- and insulted at worst -- when the journey ends.” Rather than opening up a marketing funnel that swallows whoever it can, businesses are starting to efficiently leverage content to target niche audiences.

Group 2: People who click through the post-click landing page to the sales page but don’t submit a payment. These are people who liked the idea of your course but got spooked by the credit card field on the next page. The Facebook pixel on the checkout page will add these people to an audience as well. You can target them with a dynamic Facebook ad that attempts to draw them back to the checkout page. You know these people are further down in the funnel, so maybe a small discount or one-time-offer will push them over the edge to your “thank you” page.
Naturally, shorter videos get more complete views. This is why GIFs have become increasingly valuable. As noted by WordStream, not only does it stand out from static images, it does not require the same amount of investment, effort-wise compared to videos, carousel, and lead ads. Additionally, you can even repurpose existing video assets as Facebook GIF ads—making it a win on repeat. Facebook Zuckerberg Oculus Iribe OC3 Keynote (FULL) Social VR, Touch, ReactVR
Facebook retargeting may be geared towards capturing those who have already visited your site, but this doesn’t mean you can’t still use the retargeting information to build brand awareness by reaching those who haven’t yet heard of you. Advertisers can create “lookalike” audiences based on the data from the Facebook Pixel to create ads geared towards new customers who match the profile of present customers.
For many customers, this is quickly becoming their preferred method of communication, since they no longer have to deal with the awkwardness of cold calls. It also allows customers to interact on the go, using their mobile device apps or a desktop device by visiting www.messenger.com. These tools also allow you to communicate with your clients in richer and more meaningful ways.
Sellers: Please describe the items you're selling clearly and make sure you're following both our Terms of Service, Community Standards and Commerce Policies. Also, in certain countries (such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland), people selling for business purposes are required by law to provide information about their identity, including their name, street address, email, registration number and/or VAT number. If you’re not sure if this requirement applies to you, you may wish to seek the advice of a qualified attorney with local expertise.

There’s far greater complexity to people’s buying habits and actions beyond the fact they’ve visited a website within the last month. Susan recommends studying the buying and lead acquisition patterns for your brand. If you find that most of your customers tend to convert within a few days of visiting your website, then you would be paying for 30 days worth of Facebook impressions that are no longer relevant.

In the media section you’ll decide on the image that you want to use in your ad. The recommended size for this image is 1080 pixels by 1080 pixels. (Though this would depend on your ad placements) The image MUST contain LESS THAN 20% text! (If you plan on using text in your image, Facebook has a very cool tool that will help you work around the 20% text overlay rule)
You’ll have to add an additional piece of code to the back-end of your website, but once you do, your Facebook reports will let you know detailed information about the behavior of your visitors and how it’s affecting your campaign ROI. And you can tie your pixel to fire on those behaviors and, then create remarketing campaigns based on those events.
I think we’ve all been there, whether it’s a new pair of shoes (guilty), a new cooking appliance (also guilty), or a video game (not guilty, finally). Maybe we’re just trying to stick to a budget, and we may initially resist the item at first. But then it pops up in our Facebook feed, and it feels like fate, and it’s just a little too tempting, and we convert.
For the Facebook retargeting pixel to work, it needs to be installed on the back-end of all the relevant pages you want to track, create audiences, and remarket with. If you’re using Facebook ads to drive visitors to a click-through post-click landing page where you sell a course, you might want to install it on that page, the following checkout page, and the “thank you” page after that. Here’s why:

Hi Rob, thanks for the advice. I have been playing around with Facebook ads for around 6 months now and despite the fact that I get some good traffic at reasonable prices I am still getting a high bounce rate and a relatively low conversion rate. I think part of the issue may be that I have not optimized for mobile/desktop so I will take your advice and put a bit more focus on making the ads work better for different technology.
If you’re just starting out with Facebook advertising, the best way to manage your ads is to use Facebook Ads Manager. The Ads Manager is Facebook’s free campaign management tool that’s available to all marketers. By the end of this chapter, you will know how to use the Facebook Ads Manager and how to set up your first Facebook ad campaign. (We’ve created an in-depth guide to show you exactly how to create Facebook ads!)
To find such visitors who might need some help with their purchase, you must look at other signs that signal hesitation. For example, you can specifically target visitors who’ve spent the most time browsing your website. Additionally, you can also add people who’ve visited specific pages on your website such as your FAQs, Terms & Conditions or Pricing pages.
Facebook retargeting lets advertisers position ads to warm audiences. This is highly valuable because warm audiences are closer to buying, as they have already shown an interest in your products or services. When a site visitor peruses your website but takes no actions on it, you can surmise that the user was likely early in the decision-making process and not ready to take action. This indicates that additional sales fostering is required.
Timing can also be seasonal. Retailers that do most of their business during the Q4 gifting season can create a custom audience targeting those who don’t buy from them year-round. Susan uses the example of women visiting a men’s retailer site based on clicks from a holiday gift guide. Knowing that traffic from this particular piece of content is likely driven by people who aren’t shopping for themselves, you can retarget this audience during other gift-giving times of the year such as Father’s Day. It is important to have clarity on what you are looking for from each tool so that you can calculate your return on investment. For example, if a customer responded to a Facebook ad and purchased a $20 product and you spent $5 to advertise, your return on investment would be $15. Over time, if you can, also track the total lifetime value of a client for even more accurate returns.
If you already have created and installed the Facebook Pixel, double-check that your pixel is functioning properly. Facebook can be an instant source of traffic to your website.  It can be an immediate source of leads for your business with verified contact information like name email address and phone number. It can allow you to 'retarget' and re-engage with your visitors (and soon-to-be buyers) who have abandoned your website, shopping cart, sales funnel, or anywhere else you are engaging with your audience. Handle sensitive issues in a private message. If I delete a post, I usually send the author of the post a private message and explain why their post was deleted and make myself available to answer any questions. Ninety percent of the time, they didn’t realize they were breaking any rules or they posted in the group by mistake. Be nice, be firm, and make sure they understand that you’re not trying to be mean or unreasonable, you’re just keeping the group on topic so that the experience is better for everyone.
